Minsk Сycling Сlub women's continental team started the season with a victory: Tatsiana Sharakova won the international road cycling race of the UCI Eurotour - Grand Prix Velo Manavgat in Turkey.
About a hundred athletes, representing 17 teams from Turkey, Switzerland, Slovakia, Great Britain, Hungary, Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Ukraine, Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan, toed the starting line of 98.7 km race.
This race was the first for Minsk racers in 2021. But our girls were not embarrassed, they confidently controlled the situation along the course and helped the team leader Tatsiana Sharakova to win the mass sprint that ended the race. Hanna Tserakh also finished in the top 3.
Taisa Naskovich (26), Alina Abramenko (36), Angelina Krasko (76), Nastassia Kiptikava (92) helped the teammates to the success.
It should be noted that Grand Prix Velo Manavgat podium was entirely Belarusian: the second place was taken by the representative of the Belarusian national team Anastasiya Kolesava.
On February 21, Minsk Сycling Сlub women's continental team will continue the racing program in Turkey with a performance at the Grand Prix Velo Alanya.
For the first time in the history of the Belarusian cycling, Minsk Сycling Сlub women's continental team took the 7th place in the UCI World ranking.
